totally new to linux and would really epriciate any kind of help/advice/tip

im on an ibook g4, i just installed mintppc and im not getting any sound :cry:

as well as not being able to connect to my router(EDIT:im able to see wireless networks now but i dont have the WPA to my router LOL gotta ask my father. hope i can get that working then)

i read through a few posts on here and they were talking about a powerbook.

id like to stress that ima total n00b to linux and command lines but i want to learn!

yay i did get my wireless working.

now i just need sound! can anyone point me in the right direction?

is it the same problem as the powerbook g4?

im on an ibookg4.

ok so it says on that link that 'snd_aoa_tas is uded to run on:
iBooks and PowerBooks'

it looks like i have the module snd_aoa_tas.

i have no idea what uded means if thats even important

if i have the right module could i have done some thing wrong installing or have i not set something up?

in /etc/modules

And unmute all muted channels with alsamixer (with m)

Google a little with iBook G4 linux sound

created the file by the code

~ $ sudo touch /etc/init.d/trackpad-notap

still get the same problem
