hi guys, im looking for a good astrology software program that i can install easily. i have tried a few but Im not linux savvy enough to install them. i can use the termonal yet , i am only 3 days on linux. any suggestions?

You don't need the terminal yet.

Try to find Synaptic package manager in the GUI, in the main menu under Preferences I believe.

Follow the onscreen prompts, and once it is launched use it to search for the software with search terms, e.g. astrology. Should be fairly point and click, if it is either in the main Debian software repository or the MintPPC specific one.

so i logged into the search manager and pressed search but i think it is searching the packages i already have installed on my computer. how do i get it to search rthe web?

Assuming you are in Synaptic it should look similar to this:

The box on the top right shows all packages that match your search criteria, both those already installed (if any) and those available but not installed (if any).

Those installed have the square at the left edge of the line in color (green I think). Those not yet installed are blank. Highlight one you'd like, right-click and select for installation (same thing can be done in the package menu at the top of the window), then apply (that green checkmark button at the top of the main window). It should go about installing the one you chose, plus any other packages it depends on to run.
