i'm searching a ppc version of linuxmint to install on my ps3 system ...
but i don't find a download section !

so, how i can give a try to mintppc to run on my ps3 ?
how can i get a live-cd of mintppc ?
is a debootstrap install of mintppc exist ?

i really want to try and also participate to mintppc project, and particulary on a ps3 version of it.

i think it's will be good to create mintppc 10 section too, and mintppc 11 section when released.

for a good support of ps3 system, for the time, kernel must not be over 2.6.39 because i use a modded kernel to boot properly.

maybe in each version's section, you should write specificities of mintppc.

There is no iso based installer yet. MintPPC 9 can only be installed on top of a Debian Squeeze base installation with a script. Read the installation instructions on the home page. You have to register to be able to read it. The username/pass of this forum will not work on the homepage of mintppc.org.

linux mint 9.2 is running on my ps3 !

it's only for ps3 3.55 otheros++ (soft-modded ps3 system, view gitbrew.org for more information).

when partitions are setup, go in petitboot's shell:
cd tmp
wget foxbrew.org/debianscript.tar.gz
tar xvf debianscript.tar.gz
chmod a+x debian-installer.sh
chmod a+x debian-installer-2.sh
./debian-installer.sh

at reboot:
su root
apt-get install sudo
nano /etc/apt/sources.list
add: deb http://www.mintppc.org/repository isadora main

wget http://dev.ps3-addict.fr/down/mint/post-install.sh
./post-install.sh

exit
exit

maybe my script still get error, i have to setup some stuff after run my script, so i have update it and not try the new script (post-install.sh).

i got synaptic, but haven't seen mint package manager (beautifull manager i thinck have seen here!).
hope mint will continue !
