Hello Community,

I'm new to macintosh computers, but I get a PowerBook G4@1.67Ghz, 1.5GB Ram, 160GB HDD and I would like to install MacOSX and MintPPC on it. I've installed yesterday MintPPC on the whole partition with Kernel ver. 3.0.

How should I procede to install both OSes? Will it work if I install on let's say a 80GB big partition first MacOSX, and on the second 80GB MintPPC. Will MintPPC install and configure autmatically yaboot?

Best regards
neocdtv

Welcome here. If you are to install MacOSX next to MintPPC, you have to make two partitions from the MacOSX install CD (with Disk Utility). Leave the second partition empty and format the first one as HFS journaled. You can the ninstall MacOSX on the first parition and MintPPC on the second. The Installer is clever enough to install yaboot somewhere in the second partition. Use the option "use the largest continuous empty space" in the installer.
