I added a little script to the installation process to have the new user automatically added to the sudoers list. Could someone please do an installation of MintPPC 11 and see if this feature works ?

Thanks.

Hi linuxopjemac

I installed MintPPC 11 a few days ago and my user account was not included in the sudoers file.
:(

However, would it not be enough to add the user to the sudo group with "adduser <account> sudo"?

IMHO the following setting in /etc/sudoers should take care that members of this group are allowed to do anything with sudo:

Code:
# Allow members of group sudo to execute any command
%sudo   ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL

I tried it myself, that failed indeed. I can, when I have the time, try your suggestion.
