Whenever i play video in my lombard g3, i get a strange vertical pixelation along the lines that was mentioned in ubuntu ppc FAQ for video. Anyone know how to fix this in a Lombard G3? There are like a million solutions suggested in the FAQ but I really don't feel like or even know how to go about trying them and comparing them etc. etc.? Anyone know off hand some good ways to go about fixing this? My graphics card by the way is a Ati Rage Pro LT or something like that. I can lspci it again if necessary for someone to help me. Otherwise video is shockingly good for such an old computer.

hmmm...it only seems to start up after about an hour or two. the first hour or so is pixelation free.
