Hi first off i would like to apologize if I'm posting a thread in the wrong section of the forums. Please be bare with me, I'm new at this place. i'm having problems installing Mint linux unto My iMac G3 Bondi Blue. My problem start at the moment where i'm asked to choose my language settings, when i try to confirm the selection, the program won't respond. it won't proceed to the next step. I even try to scroll between selections using the arrows keys, tab, nothing respond. the screen appears to be frozen. any insight is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Code:
install video=ofonly

This should solve the issue. Unless there is an issue with the cd or your cd-drive.

Hey thanks that did the trick, though now i'm stump again lol you wouldn't happen to know how to do the partition for the disk? I keep getting no root file is defined and I'm pretty much stuck in a loop where my options are limited to only undo partition and continue with finished partition?

do a google search for gparted, burn it to disc, select your partition and format accordingly.
then try to install mintppc.

Use guided partition, not manual. Do the recomended "all files in one partition" for new users. Once you get the hang of it, then you can try manual partitioning.

the easiest is to have an empty partition next to OS9. You can make this empty partition from Apple's DiskUtility. Then let the installer user the largest continuous empty space.
