To check which MintPPC version you are using:

Code:

cat /etc/debian_version

If the output is 5.0.x you are using MintPPC 8, based on Debian Lenny.
If the output is 6.0.x you are using MintPPC 9, based on Debian Squeeze.

If the output is 7.0.x you are using MintPPC 11, based on Debian Wheezy.

(Sorry if I'm out of line when i post this. Though I'm sure people would be able to grasp the pattern, and deem it to be quite obvious, i was bored and didn't want to leave this valuable tip "incomplete".)

Thanks for reporting. I guess it seems obvious but not for everyone I guess.
