yes, i have wireless networks, i have the laptop sitting a couple of feet from my router, and my wife is currently using her computer in another room, via that connection..so, i know it works.

could the computer not be powering it on or something?

oh yeah, i added b43 to modules

Should be supported. Don't remember whether you purged it or not but do the following:

Holy crap indeed. It should have worked much earlier. Don't know why it was so difficult. I am glad we sorted it out.

haha, seriously, i felt like we went around the world for that outcome.

so, do either of you have any idea why it didnt work out of the box?
