Dropbox is a definitive no go. Dropbox needs a proprietary binary program that was only build for Intel machines. Ubuntu one is something I can't offer as it requires a lot of hacking. I want to keep the system as close to Debian as it can be. There is however someone who got it working in MintPPC 11:

A current version of Clang/LLVM would be nice.

Thanks.

hahiz:http://packages.debian.org/sid/clang

you'd have to add sid as your repository source for a moment, install clang, and return to wheezy. Don't upgrade other packages, or you will end up with a sid system...

Actually the Debian/MintPPC I just installed is 9.3 with Squeeze. But will take a look. I am fairly comfortable with Ubuntu/Mint's way of doing things, but this is the first time I am playing with Debian. I realize that Ubuntu and Mint are based on Debian testing. Also not sure how Clang would work on a ppc CPU since the compiler is geared towards Intel/AMD x86. The Clang website implies that it works partially on ppc, but does not elaborate in detail about what works and what doesn't.

Any issues with installing from Debian Sid if my main system is squeeze?

Squeeze, even better:
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/clang

in a terminal:
Code:
sudo apt install clang

that's all

Re: Dropbox

I read the previous posts saying the binary module is closed source and x86 only, disappointed but not surprised.

Then I searched Synaptic with only the default MintPPC 9.3 repositories enabled and came up on this:

Cairo-dock - Dnd2share plug-in

Says in description it uploads to several file sharing services, including Dropbox.

Somehow, installing the plugin above did not seem to install Cairo-dock itself. Very odd.

I'd be surprised if you can get dropbox to work.

Is it possible to have lightspark? It isn't available in squeeze and even the backports.
