Nevermind! Haha! But, when I use

Linux nouveau.modset=0

on the second Yaboot prompt, I get this:

Note that when I also used that code in Ubuntu I got the same outcome...

Do I need a new xorg file? Or a different command?

Also: if I don't use a prompt I get the grey script screen, also.

All in a tty (Ctrl-Alt-F2), login as root:
you boot with nouveau. You should install the nv driver and install an xorg.conf file which reflects this:

apt install xserver-xorg-video-nv

mv imac8.txt /etc/X11/xorg.conf
reboot

@linuxopjemac Thanks! Do I to the Ctrl-Alt-F2 on the second yaboot prompt? Because that didn't work. My birthday btw :3.

happy birthday!

just let it run until you see that distored gui and then do CTRl-ALt-F2
what you can also do to get into a console, is to boot into single user mode. At the yaboot prompt type:

Linux 1 nouveau.modeset=0

If that works, you should make the suppression of nouveau permanent by:

echo blacklist nouveau > /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
