I was also curious to know if Linuxopjemac has gotten anywhere with compiling a full install CD, like the other distros, that would let people install without the internet connection. If it were compiled and tested, there would be less chance of weird changes, as it could be a stable, non-day-to-day changing iso. It seems that the people at Debian change the mini.iso so frequently that there is no telling if it compatible with all of our systems. I had the problem mentioned on my previous post on both my other iBook G3 (dual-usb, 800MHz, 640MB RAM, 30GB HD) and my iMac G3 (350MHz, 192MB RAM, 10GB HD).
samhff: Well that's an interesting idea (full install CD) . . . but I don't think JD wants to do that, I think it has to do with the bandwidth needed on the website??? and I don't think he wants to pay for that. And, then, there are the problems with getting one or a few systems that work for all the computers . . . . Again, you could wait . . . but I don't think anything will chance while you wait. : - ))) I didn't read your other post. If you are referring to the "firmware sta-fr" (can't remember exactly, but it is a "firmware error" . . . that can be ignored . . . . Apparently it hasn't been fixed yet. Also, it seems like some computers need the xorg.conf file and others don't, but if they need it all kinds of issues show up . . . .
