Hi all,
newb. here ;)

I'm having trouble installing MintPPC on my G4 iMac (1.25 Ghz)
Here's what happens:

I insert the Debian DVD (obtained from http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/6.0 ... etinst.iso ) and boot the machine holding down the C key.
At the yaboot prompt, I type
Code:
install url=mintppc.org

Image
The system boots with the usual Debian 'penguin and text' screen.

I choose English for the language, UK for the location and British English for keyboard.
I set hash-imac-g4 for the hostname and hash-imac-g4.local as the domain.
The root password can be root and the user can be hash:hash.
It loads some more components, and then prompts me to partition the disk.
The disk has a brand new apple partition map with no partitions created, so I choose to use largest free space.
Image
I choose to put all the files in the one partition.

It gives me a summary of the disk, which looks like this:
Image
I choose to write to disk.
This is the final confirmation it gives me:
Image
I choose yes, and it formats the partitions.
Oh no! It failed to mount!
Image
I don't think it's a problem with the disk because the Mac OS 10.4 install disk partitions the disk just fine (Unix, fat32, hfs)
Any ideas on what to do?

Cheers,
Hash

PS: sorry if the images appear monster. I didn't compress them before uploading.

is this a firewire drive or so ? I would expect that if you use the internal drive, that it would work.
